East Palestine won the last time they faced Valley Christian and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Eagles 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant East Palestine was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-14, 25-8.

Destiney Burtyk paced East Palestine's offense, picking up 16 kills. Burtyk got some help from Kennedy Andre and her 15 assists. Andre also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Amara Wilson, each putting up six.

The victory got East Palestine back to even at 8-8. As for Valley Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

East Palestine will challenge Columbiana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Clippers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Valley Christian, they will welcome Wellsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
