It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Parkway North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Hazelwood East Spartans 31-30. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on four straight.

Parkway North's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Hazelwood East, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Parkway North will head out to face off against Parkway South at 6:00 p.m. on October 3. The Vikings will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hazelwood East, they will venture away from home to challenge Marquette at 6:30 p.m. on October 3.
