Basketball Recap: Lakota Tech Piles Up the Points Against Todd County

Lakota Tech had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed past the Todd County Falcons to the tune of 84-31 on Tuesday. The Tatanka have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 23 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Shania Ferguson, who went 11-for-16 to rack up 28 points in addition to six steals and five assists. The contest was her sixth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzie Robinson, who posted 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Lakota Tech has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points over those games. Todd County's loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

Lakota Tech has already played their next match, a 61-34 win against Winner on the 27th. Todd County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
