Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Highland). Everything went their way against the Roosevelt Rough Riders on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-3 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 on Monday.
Cooper Richnafsky tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits.
On the hitting side, Highland got a massive performance out of Casey Myser, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one triple. Those three runs gave Myser a new career-high. Noah Radigan was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Highland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Highland's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Roosevelt, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-9.
Looking ahead, Highland will head out on the road to take on Tallmadge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roosevelt, they will challenge Brush at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
