Volleyball Recap: Jackson Polar Bears vs. St. Ignatius Wildcats

If Jackson was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Medina last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Polar Bears fell 3-1 to the St. Ignatius Wildcats on Thursday. The Polar Bears were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 22-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Lukas PEMBERTON paced Jackson's offense, picking up 12 kills. PEMBERTON got some help from Austin Earlenbaugh and his 17 assists. Mazio Manello controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Cristian Aguirre was the offensive standout of the match as he had 11 digs and two assists. That's the most digs he has posted over his last eight contests. Andrew Brobbey also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.
