Softball Recap: Point Pleasant Beach Gets the Win

Point Pleasant Beach won the last time they faced Trinity Hall and things went their way on Friday too. The Garnet Gulls came out on top against Trinity Hall by a score of 6-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Garnet Gulls.

Lucia Robinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Vivian Anderson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five stolen bases and two runs. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Zylinski, who went 1-for-4 with five stolen bases and one run.

Point Pleasant Beach's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Trinity Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Point Pleasant Beach will face off against Toms River South at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Hall, they will take on Brick Township at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
