Basketball Recap: Pana Comes Up Short

Pana lost against Taylorville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pana Panthers took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taylorville Tornadoes. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 486th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 242nd).

Pana's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Taylorville, the win got them back to even at 13-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pana will take on Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Taylorville, they will face off against Mattoon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
