The Waynesboro Indians's 21-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Selinsgrove. While losing is never fun, Waynesboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 575th, while Selinsgrove is ranked 77th).

It was another big night for Ries Naugle, who scored 25 points for Selinsgrove. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Xaivier Jackson, who scored eight points.

This is the second loss in a row for Waynesboro and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Selinsgrove, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Waynesboro will be playing in front of their home fans against Gettysburg at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Gettysburg knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Waynesboro likes a good challenge. Selinsgrove is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Milton at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
