Volleyball Recap: Midway Vikings vs. Butler Bears

Midway lost against Butler back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings fell 2-0 to the Bears.

Ella Jamison paced Midway's offense, picking up six kills. Jamison got some help from Ella Lyon and her nine assists. Madi Mcclellan controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Leading Butler to victory were Georgia Mccoun and Tandee Hiser. Mccoun had eight digs and one assist, while Hiser hit 63.6% for 15 kills and five digs and two blocks. Hiser has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 32 times she's played.

Midway has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8-3 record this season. As for Butler, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-1-1.

Midway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Archie on the 4th. As for Butler, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Faith Christian Academy on the 4th.
