Basketball Recap: Berean Academy Eagles vs. St. Andrews-Sewanee Mountain Lions
After a string of 12 wins, the Berean Academy Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of St. Andrews-Sewanee by a score of 45-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Berean Academy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Berean Academy still got an impressive performance from Austen Harvey, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Wigginton, who scored eight points.
Berean Academy's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-1. As for St. Andrews-Sewanee, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Berean Academy will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hixson is out to stop a eight-game streak of losses at home. St. Andrews-Sewanee will take on the Fighting Irish at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
