Baseball Recap: Pacheco Has No Trouble Against Livingston

Pacheco was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Livingston on Tuesday. The Panthers blew past the Wolves 14-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the match before.

Tucker Kim made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Pacheco is 3-1 when Kim allows one or fewer hits, but 3-11 otherwise. Kim was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aidan Pikas, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Nathan Rogers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Pacheco always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Livingston only posted an OBP of .059.

Pacheco's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Livingston, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pacheco beat the Wolves by a score of 10-1 on Thursday.
