Soccer Game Preview: Longmont vs. Windsor Charter Academy

The Longmont Trojans will challenge the Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Longmont is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Sterling a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday. Longmont haven't had any issues with Sterling recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Windsor Charter Academy and Wellington combined for 15 shots on goal on Saturday, which explains the impressive seven total goals scored. The Firebirds were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Eagles. It was an even better day for Dillan Brown as she scored three goals for her team.

Longmont's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matches. As for Windsor Charter Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-0-1.
