Baseball Recap: Chapman's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Chapman was feeling good fresh off their 21-0 takedown of Herington last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Irish lost 17-4 to the Clay Center Tigers on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Irish's undefeated start to the season.

Chapman saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Willmann, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Connor Cote-Boss was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chapman fell to 2-1. As for Clay Center, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-2.

While Chapman had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
