Recap: North Putnam Cougars vs. Western Panthers
The North Putnam Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 67-53 to Western.
Western's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hudson Biggs, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Carter Biggs, who scored 14 points.
North Putnam's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Western, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
North Putnam will be playing at home against West Vigo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Western, they will head out on the road to face off against Lafayette Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette Central Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Western in Indiana (Lafayette Central Catholic is ranked 99th, while Western is ranked 245th).
