Basketball Recap: Northeast Guilford Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Anaya Pearley and Jt Tatum

Northeast Guilford was the 46-29 winner over Eastern Guilford when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Northeast Guilford Rams came up short against the Eastern Guilford Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 60-39. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northeast Guilford's loss came despite strong showings from Jt Tatum and Anaya Pearley. Tatum dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Pearley dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Tatum is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least five every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sasha Brower, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

Northeast Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Eastern Guilford, they moved to 1-6 with that victory, which also ended their nine-game losing streak.

Northeast Guilford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-48 defeat against Southern Guilford on the 13th. As for Eastern Guilford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-12 win against High Point Central on the 13th.
