Basketball Game Preview: Libertyville Wildcats vs. Grayslake Central Rams

The Libertyville Wildcats will challenge the Grayslake Central Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Wednesday, Libertyville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 39-33 to Lake Forest. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Grayslake Central strolled past Wauconda with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 65-49. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 606th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Libertyville's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Grayslake Central, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

Libertyville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Grayslake Central when the teams last played back in December of 2018, but they still walked away with a 55-51 victory. Will Libertyville repeat their success, or does Grayslake Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
