Basketball Recap: Clarke Comes Up Short

Clarke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets, falling 80-22. The Indians lost against the Rockets in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 70-43 score last time.

Clarke's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Clarke is taking a road trip to square off against Davis County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont will take on Chariton in a holiday battle at at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Chariton likes a good challenge.
