Baseball Recap: Life Prep Takes a Loss

Life Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-1 to the Stillwater Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in March.

Cooper Brown (Wichita, Kansas) made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Life Prep's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Stillwater, their win bumped their record up to 20-4.

Life Prep and Stillwater should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Fire will take on Park Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (42 vs. 151). Meanwhile, Stillwater (ranked second) will meet Ponca City (ranked 114th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
