Basketball Recap: Spencer Skates Past Arlington Christian with Ease

Spencer strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Arlington Christian, posting a 72-42 victory. Fans of the Greenwave have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Jamarion Griffin had a dynamite game, shooting 45% from the field to rack up 18 points along with five boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Izael Brownlee, who posted five points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

Spencer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Spencer's record now sits at 3-0. As for Arlington Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Spencer will head out on the road to take on Jordan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Greenwave will be up against the Red Jackets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Arlington Christian, they will take on Creekside Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
