Yazoo County posted their closest win since April 21, 2024 on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Cleveland Central Wolves 6-5. The six-run effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Yazoo County pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cleveland Central, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yazoo County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Edwards at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th. As for Cleveland Central, they and Riverside will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
