Austin Blum was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Remi Schieber, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy got themselves on the board against Christ Prep Academy on Friday, but Christ Prep Academy never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Patriots.
Christ Prep Academy's batters probably weren't too happy with Jett York, who pitched a no hitter and racked up seven Ks (he gave up a single walk).
On the hitting side, Faith Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max McMillen, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Plaza Heights Christian Academy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Faith Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Both Plaza Heights Christian Academy and Faith Christian Academy just can't seem to miss. The Lions have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game.
