Volleyball Game Preview: Marion Wildcats vs. Carbondale Terriers

The Marion Wildcats will head out to challenge the Carbondale Terriers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Marion is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Norris City-Omaha-Enfield just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Fighting Cardinals.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Carbondale didn't have quite enough to beat Anna-Jonesboro on Monday and fell 2-1.

Carbondale's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.

Marion came up short against Carbondale in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
