Preview: Sherwood vs. Wheaton
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Sherwood. They will challenge Wheaton on the road at 2:00 PM on Saturday. Sherwood don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
If Sherwood were riding high off their 30-0 takedown of Einstein two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Sherwood and Richard Montgomery were almost perfectly matched up last Friday, but Sherwood suffered an agonizing 20-21 defeat.
Meanwhile, Wheaton found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-22 punch to the gut against Einstein. This makes it the second loss in a row for Wheaton.
Sherwood were fully in charge the last time the two teams met, breezing past Wheaton 43-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sherwood since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
