Volleyball Recap: Bacon Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bacon Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Griswold Wolverines. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Wolverines when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Bacon Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Griswold's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-20.

Leading Griswold to victory were Carly Rubino and Maryn Austin. Rubino had nine digs and two aces, while Austin had five digs and one assist. That's the most aces Rubino has posted since back in October of 2024.

Bacon Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Griswold, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Bacon Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Woodstock Academy on the 17th. As for Griswold, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Montville on the 15th.
