Baseball Recap: Windsor Locks Beats East Windsor for Their Sixth Straight Win

Windsor Locks came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the East Windsor Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Panthers back in April, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

Garrett Hinckley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Xavier Angel was excellent, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zavier Hunt, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles.

Windsor Locks' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for East Windsor, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
