After a string of six wins, Mt. Vernon's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 44-32 to the Centralia Orphans. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Mt. Vernon still got an impressive performance from Brogan Holloway, who posted 12 points. Sailor Clugston also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Mt. Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Centralia, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

While Mt. Vernon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
