Basketball Game Preview: Oak Hill Red Devils vs. Point Pleasant Big Blacks

The Oak Hill Red Devils will square off against the Point Pleasant Big Blacks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Hill will be strutting in after a victory while Point Pleasant will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Saturday, Oak Hill strolled past Bridgeport with points to spare, taking the game 59-44. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Point Pleasant came up short against Ravenswood on Monday and fell 39-27. While losing is never fun, the Big Blacks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 587th, while the Red Devils are ranked 83rd).

Point Pleasant has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Oak Hill, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Oak Hill strolled past Point Pleasant when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 51-34. Will Oak Hill repeat their success, or does Point Pleasant have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
