Lanier dropped down to 10-7 on Tuesday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 3-0 to the Johns Creek Gladiators. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Longhorns of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Brooklyn Surles paced Lanier's offense, picking up seven kills. Surles got some help from Addy Gosselin and her 14 assists. Finally, Chloe Johnson kept Lanier's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

As for Johns Creek, the win got them back to even at 6-6. That three set margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Charlize Maldonado was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and four aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four).

Looking ahead, Lanier will challenge Bartram Trail at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Johns Creek, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Marist on the 27th.
