Goreville won against Trico on Thursday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Blackcats blew past the Benton Rangers 11-2. The result was nothing new for the Blackcats, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Goreville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Benton, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
