Soccer Game Preview: Kingwood vs. King

The Kingwood Mustangs will head out to square off against the King Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Kingwood's offense. They fell just short of Atascocita by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when King duked it out with Humble on Tuesday. King fell just short of Humble by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 288th in Texas, while the Wildcats are ranked 39th in Texas).

Kingwood's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for King, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11.
