Volleyball Recap: Austin Takes Down Brown County in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Austin rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Brown County. The win was some much needed relief for Austin as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Brown County's loss came despite strong showings from Zoe Jackson and Aubree Denton. Jackson had 31 digs, while Denton had 11 kills, six digs, and six aces. Makayla Shrader was another key player, getting 19 digs and one assist.

Austin's victory bumped their record up to 11-18. As for Brown County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Austin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against South Ripley on the 18th. Brown County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
