Basketball Game Preview: Lancaster Catholic Crusaders vs. Columbia Crimson Tide

The Lancaster Catholic Crusaders will face off against the Columbia Crimson Tide at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lancaster Catholic comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Friday, Lancaster Catholic took a blow against Octorara Area, falling 51-14. The contest marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Columbia lost 67-47 to Eastern York on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Crimson Tide can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 554th, while the Golden Knights are ranked 165th).

This is the second loss in a row for Columbia and nudges their season record down to 1-9. As for Lancaster Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-17.

Lancaster Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Columbia in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 66-58. Will Lancaster Catholic repeat their success, or does Columbia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
