Baseball Game Preview: Widefield Gladiators vs. Coronado Cougars

For the second straight game, Widefield will face off against Coronado. The Gladiators will face off against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Widefield will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Widefield will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Coronado, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Gladiators walked away with a 12-7 win over the Cougars on Tuesday.

Nick Prantl made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Widefield is 6-1 when Prantl posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise.
