Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Malena Lee and Kaylee Aiken Lead South Granville to Victory + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Orange, South Granville was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Eastern Alamance Eagles by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Eagles back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

The win didn't come easy: Eastern Alamance scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 25-21.

Leading South Granville to victory were Kaylee Aiken and Malena Lee. Aiken had 11 digs and two aces, while Lee had. What's more, Lee posted two digs, the most she's had over her last four matches.

Despite the loss, Eastern Alamance still got an impressive performance from Gracie Jenkins, who had 17 digs and two aces. Jenkins is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 17 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

South Granville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season. As for Eastern Alamance, they moved to 13-8 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. South Granville will take on Seaforth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastern Alamance, they will face off against Graham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
