Soccer Game Preview: Community Christian vs. St. John Paul II

Community Christian is 1-9 against St. John Paul II since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Community Christian Chargers will head out to square off against the St. John Paul II Panthers at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Community Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Rocky Bayou Christian and fell 2-1. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when St. John Paul II challenged Jefferson County on Thursday. St. John Paul II sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Jefferson County.

St. John Paul II hit Jefferson County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Marcelo Medina, Jensen Reppen, and Christan Bentley.

St. John Paul II has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those six contests. As for Community Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1.
