Volleyball Recap: Virginia High Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Virginia High was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the John Battle Trojans. If the Bearcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Trojans when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Virginia High's offense was headlined by Sarah Page and Carlei Keeney, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Kalayah Bristol and her eight assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

John Battle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kloe Webb out in front who had 11 digs and one assist. Adyson Halloway was another key player, getting eight digs and one assist.

Virginia High's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for John Battle, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Virginia High didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Gate City on the 10th. As for John Battle, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Lee on the 9th.
