Baseball Game Preview: Nanih Waiya Warriors vs. Scott Central Rebels

Things were looking good for Nanih Waiya after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against French Camp Academy, falling 19-9.

Caysen Dewberry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Briceton Boler, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The home team had come away the winner the last three times Scott Central and Morton had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Scott Central lost 14-2 to Morton on Saturday. The Rebels have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

P Mcgee was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. D Wash also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Scott Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Nanih Waiya, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Nanih Waiya has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. However, it's not like Scott Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
