Basketball Game Preview: Lee Central Stallions vs. Thornwell Saints

The Lee Central Stallions will face off against the Thornwell Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Last Friday, Lee Central took their match with ease, bagging a 71-12 win over Lamar. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 24 points or more this season.

Kiyonna Austin had an outrageously good game as she went 5-for-11 on her way to 18 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Reames, who went 6-for-13 en route to 13 points.

Meanwhile, Thornwell humbled Whitmire with a 46-17 victory.

Lee Central's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.7 points over those games. As for Thornwell, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.
