Sam Houston came tearing into Monday's match with 22 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Iowa Yellowjackets with a sharp 12-4 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-0 back in February.

Sam Houston pushed their record up to 25-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Iowa, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 23-9 record.
