Softball Preview: Tekonsha Indians vs. Waldron Spartans        
        
		
            
 Tekonsha has played every game this season on their home field, but they'll have to hit the road  on Thursday. They will  challenge the Waldron Spartans at 5:00  p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
 Tekonsha is headed into the  contest fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by  a  26-13 margin over North Adams-Jerome on Tuesday. With that  victory, Tekonsha brought their scoring average up to 10.2  runs per game.
  Angel Veenkant was a major factor no matter where she played. She  pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Veenkant was even better at the plate,  scoring five  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Carissa Shedd was a standout: she scored four  runs while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Reagan Henry, who  scored four  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Waldron is still undefeated  this season after their  game against Tekonsha  back in April, but Tekonsha came as close as anyone has to beating them. Waldron skirted past Tekonsha  10-8.
 Tekonsha  made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-3. As for Waldron, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
 Tekonsha couldn't quite finish off Waldron in their previous meeting  back in April and fell  10-8. Can Tekonsha avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
