St. Bede gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bureau Valley Storm 47-6. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Storm recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

St. Bede got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Marquez out in front who rushed for 86 yards and two scores on only ten carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Marquez has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gino Ferrari, who rushed for 39 yards and one touchdown.

Looking ahead, St. Bede will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Eureka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bureau Valley, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Annawan-Wethersfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
