Recap: Vacaville Christian Falcons vs. Highlands Scots
If the Vacaville Christian Falcons were feeling good off their 61-38 takedown of the Esparto Spartans last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Vacaville Christian took a hard 60-45 fall against Highlands on Tuesday. Vacaville Christian has not had much luck with Highlands recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Vacaville Christian still got an impressive performance from Brian Laxamana, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Laxamana has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tai Douglas, who scored 14 points.
Vacaville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Highlands, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-12.
Vacaville Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Woodland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. Woodland Christian will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Vacaville Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
