Baseball Recap: McDaniel Comes Up Short

McDaniel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Wednesday.

McDaniel's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McDaniel is set to challenge their familiar foe Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lincoln will face off against rival Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
