Farmington had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt St. Pius X on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers stepped up to hand the Lancers an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Bryce Bloom looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Farmington let Cooper Tripp and Jackson McDowell run wild. Tripp went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while McDowell went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four stolen bases gave Tripp a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Rice, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Farmington's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for St. Pius X, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.
