Softball Game Preview: Linden-Kildare Tigers vs. Detroit Eagles

Linden-Kildare is 8-2 against Detroit since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Linden-Kildare Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Detroit Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Linden-Kildare is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Linden-Kildare took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Detroit, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Linden-Kildare had just enough and edged out Detroit 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since February 21st.

Ada Whatley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Linden-Kildare saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kalysa Roberts, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
