Football Recap: Chester Starts Season with Victory at Home

Chester gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 55-0 victory over the East Alton-Wood River Oilers. The Yellowjackets pushed the score to 48-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Oilers had no chance of recovering from.

Looking ahead, Chester is taking a road trip to square off against Pinckneyville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Alton-Wood River, they will square off against Civic Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
