Volleyball Recap: Kaneland Takes a Loss

Kaneland was the 2-1 winner over Sycamore when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell 2-0 to the Spartans on Thursday.

While Kaneland had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22.

Kaneland's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Sycamore, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11.

Kaneland and Sycamore could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Knights (ranked 360th) will meet Stevenson (ranked 79th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sycamore will challenge Rockford Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (208 vs. 101).
