Volleyball Recap: Wyoming East Comes Up Short

Wyoming East was the 3-0 winner over Princeton when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wyoming East actually scored more points across those three sets (56-51), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 8-25, 28-26, 15-5.

When it comes to explaining why Wyoming East lost, don't look at Lauren Staton. Despite the final result, she had 11 assists and four aces. Staton has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last eight times she's played.

Wyoming East now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Princeton, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3.

Coming up, Wyoming East will challenge Independence at 5:30 p.m. on September 5. As for Princeton, they will face off against Oak Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
