Basketball Game Preview: Elkin Buckin' Elks vs. Surry Central Golden Eagles

Elkin is 2-8 against Surry Central since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Elkin Buckin' Elks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Surry Central Golden Eagles at 5:45 p.m.

Elkin is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 36-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Wilkes.

Meanwhile, Surry Central waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wildcats 61-13. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Elkin's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Surry Central, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
