Softball Recap: Estill County Extends Winning Streak to Four

Estill County waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knott County Central Patriots, sneaking past 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Engineers have posted since April 30th.

Peyton Henderson was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Madi Rose was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Estill County's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Knott County Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-17.

As of now, neither Estill County nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
